Open Door Exmouth was established by the local church in 1995 and continues to uphold its Christian values of love, acceptance, truth, justice, mercy, and forgiveness. Inspired by Jesus’ teaching to “love your neighbour,” we strive to express God’s unconditional love by offering support, practical help, and care to those in need. While our foundation is rooted in the Christian faith, we are clear that our role is not to impose beliefs on anyone. We respect and welcome people of all faiths and none, supporting individuals regardless of their background or lifestyle. Guided by the principles of the Faithworks Charter, we are committed to trust, integrity, and compassion in all we do. These values shape how we work as a team of staff and volunteers and how we serve those who rely on us.
Over the past 30 years, our charity has grown to respond to the changing needs of the Exmouth community. Supported by over 90 dedicated volunteers, we now operate as a multi-service organisation, providing welcoming spaces and tailored support for people of all ages. Collaboration is central to our approach. By working closely with statutory agencies and local organisations, we ensure our services are effective and accessible. Our mission is to combat isolation and poverty, empower individuals through skill development, promote mental health and wellbeing, and provide compassionate care to those most vulnerable.
At Open Door Exmouth, our door is open to everyone.
